About Festify: the shared party jukebox

Festify is a shared party jukebox that lets a group help choose the music. A host starts a party and shares a six-digit code. Guests join, search YouTube for tracks, add requests, and vote on songs in the queue. The queue updates live as people participate, keeping requests and votes together rather than scattered across messages.

How it works

The host chooses a party name, creates the room, and shares its code. From the host screen, they manage playback and the queue. Hosts can enable gated mode to review guest requests before approving them for the public queue. They can also skip songs and remove requests when needed.

Guests choose Join a Party, enter the code and a display name, then open the party room. They can search YouTube, submit a track, see what is playing, and vote for queued songs they want to hear. Votes influence the queue order, while host-recommended songs take priority. Guests can remove their own votes if they change their minds.

Music for shared gatherings

Use Festify for a house party, a wedding reception, or an office gathering where people want to contribute songs. The host can keep requests open or use approval controls to review incoming choices. Guests use their own devices to participate instead of passing the host's device around.
